The Clarity Code

Transkription
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back.
Today we're going to be doing a deep dive into something that I think a lot of entrepreneurs struggle with, and that is finding clarity in your business when you have a lot of different passions.
We're going to be using a podcast episode called the Clarity Code, hosted by Simone Jennings, as our source material today.
She works with people she calls lightworkers, spiritual entrepreneurs, and holistic business owners.
So if you've ever felt like you're being pulled in a million different directions trying to figure out how to make all of your passions work together in your business, you are in the right place today.
Because what I find so interesting about Simone's approach is that she says clarity doesn't mean you have to abandon any of your passions.
Right.
It's not about limiting yourself.
Yeah.
It's more about finding that, like, common thread that connects them all, weaving them together into something, I don't know, even stronger, more vibrant.
Yeah.
I think a lot of times people think that to have a clear business message, they have to pick just one thing.
But she really stresses that it's not about picking just one.
It's about seeing how those things all work together.
It's about finding the synergy between them all.
Exactly.
And when you try to be everything to everyone, you just end up spreading yourself too thin and your message can get lost.
So true.
And it can be so exhausting trying to be everything to everyone.
Yes.
She actually uses this analogy of a lighthouse.
You know how a lighthouse has that beam of light that shines out and guides ships?
Yeah.
If a lighthouse was shining its beam in every direction at once, the light would be really weak.
Right.
It wouldn't be able to help anyone.
Right.
It would be totally ineffective.
But when it focuses that beam, it becomes a powerful beacon that can guide ships to safety.
I love that analogy.
And that's what clarity in your business does.
It helps you attract the right clients, your ideal clients, while allowing other people to sail on and find the lighthouses that resonate with them.
Okay, that makes so much sense.
It's like, you know, if a lighthouse is trying to guide every single ship on the sea, it wouldn't be very effective.
But if it's focused on a particular direction and has a clear beam, then it can guide the ships that need that particular signal.
Exactly.
It's about, like, aligning your energy and your message so it's all working together.
Yeah.
Aligning your energy and your message so they're working in harmony.
Okay, so how do we actually start to do that?
Like, how do we Untangle this web of passions and find that core message, that clear beam, so to speak.
Well, she gives a really great example using her own experience.
Simone herself has a really diverse background.
She's a Reiki master, an angel practitioner, and she even has a background in marketing.
Wow.
So she's like a walking example of.
What we're talking about.
That's really cool.
So did she just pick one to focus on or like, how does she bring those all together?
Well, and that's the beauty of it.
She doesn't try to separate them.
Instead, she sees how they're all connected and she boils it all down to a single statement.
Her statement is, I helped spiritual, holistic, and wellness practitioners transform their one on one service based businesses into scalable online models.
This shift allows them to expand their reach, grow their income, and make a greater impact, all while creating a business that fits seamlessly into a life that they love.
Wow, that's.
That's a lot.
But it's also so clear.
I can see how everything in her background fits into that.
Exactly.
And notice how she doesn't say I offer Reiki or I do angel readings or I'm a marketing consultant.
Yeah.
She talks about the transformation that she provides for people.
Like she's speaking directly to the need that her clients have, wanting to scale their businesses and live a more fulfilling life.
Yes.
Instead of getting caught up in all the details.
Right.
She focuses on the bigger picture.
Okay, I like.
And what's great is that she actually breaks this whole process down into a formula.
A formula that anyone can use to figure out their own core message.
Oh, tell me more about this formula.
It is.
I help specific audience achieve specific outcome by unique method.
This is important because impact.
Okay.
I can already see how this is helpful even just hearing those pieces.
Pieces?
Yeah, it gives you a framework.
A framework to start thinking about it.
Exactly.
But I have a feeling that even with this formula, it's still.
There are probably still challenges.
Like even when you know what you're supposed to do.
Oh, absolutely.
There are definitely some common challenges that people run into.
Okay, I was right.
Yeah.
She talks about four in particular.
Okay, let's hear them.
Because I have a feeling I've experienced all of them.
The first one is that feeling of being pulled in a million directions like we talked about.
Yep.
Been there.
Trying to juggle all your passions and not knowing where to focus.
Every day I wake up with a million different ideas and it's like, which one do I do today?
And then there's the fear that if you Narrow down your focus too much, you'll lose potential clients.
Oh, yeah, that one's big.
Like, what if I choose this one thing, and then all these other people who might have been interested, they all disappear?
Totally.
That fear of missing out.
Yeah.
And then, of course, there's the imposter syndrome.
Ugh.
Yes.
That feeling that you're not good enough.
That you're not qualified to do this.
Or that someone's going to find out that you don't actually know what you're doing.
And then the final challenge is taking your complex services and simplifying them into language that your ideal client can actually understand.
Yeah, like, how do you explain what you do without, like, getting too technical and jargony so that someone who's not in your field can still understand what you do?
It's about making it relatable.
It's about making it relatable.
Yeah, exactly.
So, okay, we know the challenges.
What do we do about them?
Well, that's what we're going to talk about in the next part of our deep dive.
Ooh, Okay.
A cliffhanger.
I can't wait.
Yeah, she's got some great solutions, so stay tuned.
Welcome back.
It's so helpful to really look at these challenges because, you know, often just recognizing them is the first step to actually, like, overcoming them.
So true.
It's like shining a light on those fears and doubts.
But now I'm really curious about those solutions.
What does she say we should do about all this?
Well, so for that feeling of being pulled in a million directions, she recommends, you know, taking a step back and figuring out what your most impactful service is, the one that, like, lights you up the most, and.
And that also gets the best results for your clients.
So it's not about getting rid of all those other passions.
It's more about, like, prioritizing.
Yeah, exactly.
It's like, think of it as, like, you're putting on a show, and this one service is the star.
That's the star of the show.
And all those other things you're passionate about, those are, like, the supporting cast.
Okay, that makes sense.
So then what about that fear of, you know, narrowing your focus and maybe losing clients?
Right.
Well, she says that actually being really specific, that's what attracts the right people.
Oh, interesting.
It's like, if you're trying to appeal to everyone, you're not really appealing to anyone.
It's like that saying, a jack of all trades is a master of none.
Exactly.
But when you're really clear about who you serve and what you Offer.
It's like you're creating this magnet that pulls in the perfect people for you.
Okay, and what about that imposter syndrome?
Any advice for dealing with that?
Yeah.
So she talks about really focusing on the impact that you've already made.
Like, think about the people that you've already helped and the positive feedback that you've gotten.
It's so easy to forget about all that when you're like in the thick of it, though.
It is.
But remembering those things, it can really help to boost your confidence.
Like remembering that you do have something valuable to offer.
Exactly.
And then the last challenge, the simplifying your services.
Right, so with that one, she talks about speaking your client's language.
So like, instead of using a bunch of jargon, use language that they can really understand and relate to.
Yeah, yeah.
Because you can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you can't communicate it effectively, it's not going to do anyone any good.
Exactly.
And she gives a great example.
Like let's say you do energy work.
Instead of saying something like chakra balancing for emotional harmony, which, I mean, that.
Sounds kind of intimidating, honestly.
It does.
She suggests saying something like, feel calm and grounded in 30 minutes or less.
Okay, that's much better.
It's clear, it's concise, and it tells you exactly what you're going to get out of it.
And it speaks directly to the outcome that the client wants instead of getting bogged down in all the technical stuff.
I love it.
So we have the formula, we have the challenges, and we have some solutions.
What else is there?
Well, she actually gives step by step instructions for how to take that formula and write your own core message.
Oh, okay.
So remember how we were talking about, I help specific audience achieve specific outcome by unique method.
This is important because Impact, she goes into detail about, like, what each part of that means, and she even gives examples for different types of businesses.
Okay, so can you give me an example?
Like let's say someone is a spiritual entrepreneur and they help people overcome self doubt.
How would they use that formula to write their statement?
Okay, yeah.
So for them it might be something like, I help spiritual entrepreneurs overcome self doubt and step into their purpose by combining mindset, coaching, energy, healing and actionable strategies.
This is important because their work is needed to uplift the collective consciousness.
Wow.
Okay, that's amazing.
Yeah.
And she gives a couple of other examples too, for different types of businesses.
It's so helpful to see how the formula can be used in different ways.
But you know, even with a great statement, I think there's still this piece of, like, you have to actually believe in it and have the confidence to share it with the world.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's not enough to just write it down.
You have to, like, embody it.
Embody it.
Yeah.
And she gives some tips for that too.
Like, practice saying it out loud.
And if you're comfortable with it, get feedback from people you trust.
That's good advice.
And ultimately, it comes down to, like, owning your value.
Yes.
Believing in yourself and what you have.
To offer and remembering that you are unique.
Yeah.
And there's no one else who can do what you do.
I love that.
You know, it's amazing how much one simple statement can impact your business.
When you're clear about your message, everything else becomes so much easier.
It's like it all flows from that one point.
It's like having a guiding star.
A guiding star.
Yeah.
And she also talks about how clarity makes content creation easier because once you have that statement, you can use it as a framework to come up with all sorts of content ideas.
Right.
So instead of staring at a blank page.
Yeah.
You can just look at your statement and ideas.
I like that.
Boom.
Ideas.
And it can also help you to be more consistent with your messaging.
Yeah.
Because everything you create, it's all coming from that same core message.
It's all aligned.
Aligned.
Yeah.
So, you know, before we wrap up.
This deep dive, I wanted to circle back to something Simone said that I thought was really interesting.
She talked about how confidence comes from clarity.
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
And it's so true.
It's like, when you know who you are and what you're here to do, it just naturally gives you this sense of confidence.
And that confidence is contagious.
Like, people can sense it.
Totally.
So to everyone listening, remember that clarity is a superpower.
It really is.
It can help you to build a successful business, but it can also help you to live a more fulfilling life.
That's a great point.
So this deep dive has been amazing, and I'm so grateful to Simone Jennings for sharing her wisdom.
But before we go, I want to leave you with one final thought.
I'm ready for that final thought.
Well, we've been talking about clarity in our businesses and how it can help us.
Yeah.
To be more successful, reach the right people.
Right.
All of that.
But what if we took this idea of clarity beyond just our businesses?
Like, what about clarity in our personal lives?
You know, like, our relationships, our goals, our creative projects?
So it's not just about, like, work stuff.
Exactly.
It's about our whole lives.
Our whole lives.
I like that.
So.
So think about it.
Where else could having a clear message.
Like that core message we were talking about.
Yeah, exactly.
Where could that help you to achieve something you want or to connect with someone on a deeper level?
Okay.
Yeah, I'm starting to see what you mean.
Like, maybe you're feeling stuck in a rut.
Oh, yeah.
Or maybe you're having trouble communicating your needs in a relationship.
What if you applied this same process of finding your core message to those areas?
That's really interesting, because so often I think we just kind of go through life reacting to things and so.
Being intentional.
Exactly.
But when we have clarity, it's like we have this inner compass that helps us to make choices that are aligned with what we really want.
It's like we're taking back control instead of just letting life happen to us.
And it reminds me of this quote by Mary Oliver.
She says, tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
Wow.
That's powerful.
It really is.
And I think clarity helps us to answer that question.
It helps us to figure out what we want to do with our lives and to make sure that we're actually doing it.
It's like it helps us to live with more intention.
Yes.
But, of course, finding clarity isn't always easy.
No, it can be challenging.
Sometimes it means, like, facing some uncomfortable.
Truths about ourselves or letting go of old beliefs that are no longer serving us.
But it's worth it, because when we do find that clarity, it's like everything shifts.
It's like a weight has been lifted.
Yeah.
And.
And we can finally show up as our true selves.
Our most authentic selves.
Exactly.
So this deep dive has been incredible, and I want to thank Simone Jennings again for sharing her wisdom with us.
Her Clarity code is a really powerful tool, not just for business, but for life.
It really is.
And to everyone listening, thank you for joining us.
Remember, clarity is a journey.
So be patient with yourself, trust your intuition, and keep shining your light.
We'll see you next time.
