Text elements handle everything from episode titles to calls-to-action. Every text element can be styled, positioned, and - this is the powerful part - timed, so it appears and disappears exactly when you want.
Adding and styling text
Click Text in the sidebar to add a text element, then use its panel to set:
- Content - the text itself, or a template variable (like an episode title) that fills in automatically.
- Font - choose from a large library of fonts, plus any custom fonts you've uploaded.
- Size, line height, bold, italic and text alignment.
- Fill colour and an optional outline with adjustable colour and thickness.
Drag the element anywhere on the canvas, or use the alignment buttons to snap it to an edge or centre.
Timing: the "Appears" control
By default text shows throughout the video. The timing section on each element offers presets:
- First 5 / 10 seconds - great for intro titles.
- Last 5 / 10 seconds - perfect for end-of-video calls-to-action ("Follow the show", "Link in bio").
- Custom range - set exact start and end times. Handy shortcut: play or scrub to the right moment, then click Start here / End here to grab the playhead position.
Entry and exit animations
Timed elements can animate in and out: fade, slide (up/down/left/right), or zoom in - pick one for the entry and one for the exit.
Previewing timed elements
While editing, timed elements that aren't currently selected show faded on the canvas so you can see everything at once without clutter. Press play to preview the real timing.
If you swap the design onto a different-length audio clip, timings are adjusted automatically and the editor tells you what changed.
Timing isn't just for text
Images and shapes have the same "Appears" control - use it to pop a logo in for the first few seconds, or a subscribe badge at the end.
